Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) - 1 Year

The one year Pre-sea Training course for Graduates (GME) is a course leading to Class IV Marine Engineer Officer Certificate of competency, awarded by the ministry of shipping Government of India, after six months of sea service, enabling the cadets to become Marine Engineers on board Merchant Naval ships anywhere in the world. This course is strictly residential.

Entry Requirements

Minimum Qualification

• Candidate should have B.E/B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering/Naval Architecture with minimum marks of 50% in final year and with minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
• Maximum 28 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.
• Course Date September of every year.

Entrance test

Test will be conducted at our campus in Chennai.

Psychometric test

DGS approved medical psychologist will conducts personality profiling of prospective candidates to check their suitability.

Medical Examination

Selected candidates undergo a stringent medical examination with DG Approved doctor.

Panel interview

Short listed candidates are called for a personal interview taken by a panel comprising of Chief Engineers and Captain Superintendent.

Pre-Sea Training

1 Year DG approved GME Training comprising theory &practical classes at our SHIP IN CAMPUS.
